Kent Watanabe

Kent Watanabe (b. 1995, Takahashi, Okayama) graduated from the Graduate School of Keio University and lives and works in Tokyo. He creates large-scale installations that stretch threads, mesh, and membranes through the air, taking their form from each environment. Working without a fixed drawing, he builds each structure out of the shape of the site itself; in some works a drone serves as one of the tools for spinning thread into valleys and high places. His materials are entrusted to wind, light, gravity, and the people passing through, weaving new relations into the space. The work quietly intimates that life is not an isolated individual, but something held within countless relations. Selected works include Resonance – Atami (ATAMI ART GRANT, 2023), Floating Membrane (Atami, 2025), Spiral Lumina (Umekita Art Picnic, Grand Green Osaka, 2026), and MIRAI MILKY WAY (GreenFes, Grand Green Osaka, 2026).

渡邉顕人（1995年、岡山県高梁市生まれ）慶應義塾大学大学院を修了。東京を拠点に活動する。糸やメッシュ、膜を空中に張り渡し、環境に応じて姿を変える大規模なインスタレーションを制作する。あらかじめ定めた図面を持たず、その場の形そのものから構造を立ち上げていく。作品によっては、ドローンを糸を紡ぐ装置の一つとして用い、谷や高所に糸を編み込んでいく。素材は風や光、重力、行き交う人々に委ねられ、空間に新たな関係性を編んでいく。その仕事は、生命を独立した個体としてではなく、無数の関係の網のなかに在るものとして静かに示唆する。主な作品に《Resonance – Atami》（ATAMI ART GRANT、2023）、《Floating Membrane》（熱海、2025）、《Spiral Lumina》（Umekita Art Picnic, Grand Green Osaka, 2026）、《MIRAI MILKY WAY》（GreenFes, Grand Green Osaka, 2026）。
